ABOUT LEDAWELL

Why I started Ledawell

Quote

I’ve been where you are—exhausted, searching for answers, and wondering if you’ll ever feel like yourself again. My mission is to help you uncover the root cause of your symptoms and reclaim your health with personalized, compassionate care.

Leda Werrell, DNP, FNP-C

As a teenager, I struggled with digestive issues, fatigue, and symptoms that gradually worsened through college and into my nursing career. Despite doing everything I thought I was supposed to do, I never felt truly healthy. I was tired, inflamed, and searching for answers.
As I began exploring health beyond conventional medicine, I discovered something that changed my life:

the body is deeply interconnected, and true healing requires looking beyond symptoms to uncover the root cause.

Working at a holistic women’s health center introduced me to functional medicine, where I learned about gut health, nutrition, nutrient deficiencies, and the profound impact of lifestyle on overall well-being. For the first time, healthcare made sense to me.

My own health journey continued to challenge me. After the birth of my first child, I experienced severe fatigue, weight loss, and insomnia and was eventually diagnosed with adrenal fatigue and celiac disease. Years later, after another period of debilitating exhaustion, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Each setback deepened my understanding of what it feels like to struggle, to search for answers, and to finally find providers who truly listen.

Through nutrition, lifestyle changes, and functional medicine care, I was able to reclaim my health and vitality.

Those experiences are the foundation of Ledawell. They taught me that healing happens when patients feel heard, supported, and understood—and when we take the time to uncover why symptoms are occurring in the first place.

Today, my mission is to help others navigate their own health journeys with compassion, curiosity, and evidence-informed care. Because I’ve been there, and I know how life-changing it can be to finally feel well again.
